Cate Video Services
Some Mondays are better than others….I received a text this morning from an old client who revisited some memories with her Family from awhile back that I had preserved into something useable for them. A great start to the week! Here is the excerpt….(I didn’t and don’t film weddings, just preserve the footage).
“Today is Bryan and Emily’s anniversary so we watched the wedding dvd. It turned out so good. I watched the other ones also. Five of our loved ones who have passed away are on the tapes so very special indeed. Thank you for a wonderful job.”
It is a super busy time at Cate Video Services, but every year during the rush to finish by Christmas Eve I am always able to find a few moments of "reflection" in many of my Customer's video memories that I am trusted with transforming to a more permanent format. This year being no exception, I thought I'd share a 2 minute clip from Rick Muller's memories that brought me back to a much simpler time, when a few of the same 20 toys circulated under the tree for the entire nation, and the unbridled joy of being 6-7-8-9, and waking up to come downstairs (or upstairs) on Christmas morning.
Thanks Rick, for allowing me to "reflect", and to share that with others, and for making me smile as I drew on my own similar memories from that simpler time! Except I don't think I ever managed to pull off what I saw in the last few seconds of the clip!

If you have tapes from the late 80's/early 90's, heed this article....they are breaking out the w***o and should be digitized if you want to save them. Good news is, in most cases a torn tape is repairable. Mold, possibly a different story....
