Loading up these giant White Oak slabs for a customer. They are destined for a restaurant in Atlanta. The slabs sitting on the forks weigh almost 2,000 pounds (in total)! Other slabs from the same tree have already been turned into tables and coffee tables. This tree was probably around 200 years old when it had to come down. It had reached the end of its life cycle. The homeowner did the right thing. Rather than have the tree fall on their home, causing significant damage and potential death. He had it taken down timely so that it would have a second life in homes and restaurants. The table in the picture was built by Harvest Custom.
