A night to remember at the Black Creativity Gala ✨ featuring my favorite piece, this drawing by , using white pencil on black paper. She bears a striking resemblance to my late grandmother Doris Carrington. It’s the intensity in the eyes. I don’t have many memories of her but those “looks” are unforgettable.
