Plastic has become deeply embedded in agricultural food production: High yields and quality fruit requires a significant volume and variety of field plastics. This increased use has a large environmental impact.

The 2021 Ag Plastics Innovation Challenge sponsored by Driscoll and Think Beyond Plastic, seeks to redefine the use of plastics in agriculture and identity solutions that can scale commercially. Winners will receive access to Think Beyond’s Scale-up Program at the Global Entrepreneurship Centre to advance their innovations and to demonstrate that their innovations have the potential to be a viable alternative to the current field plastics.
