A circa 1960 Asian Modern two-part breakfront consisting of a china cabinet atop a credenza, manner of James Mont. Each finished in satin black lacquer; the upper cabinet having glazed doors flanking a central fixed glaze panel and opening to reveal two full-width shelves routed with a plate rail. A modern pagoda-form crest rail anchors the Asian flare of the credenza base having five doors, each with elaborate brass escutcheons, resting upon stylized Ming-style legs. Two doors open to reveal a substantial drawer over an open storage compartment while the remaining three, two joined as a bi-fold, open to a storage compartment with shelf. The satin black lacquer finish continues throughout, perfectly accented by the bold brass hardware.
