🐝🍯 What an AMAZING day at FELA! 🍯🐝

Today we had a special visit from Bee Pimpin, and wow… did we learn a LOT about bees! The children were completely engaged from start to finish as they got an up-close look at the fascinating world of beekeeping.

Our beekeeper showed us the special smoker he uses and explained how it helps keep the bees calm while he works with the hive. We even got to see the protective suit he wears and learn why each piece is so important!

One of the biggest highlights was getting to touch REAL honeycomb! 🤩 The children loved feeling its unique texture and seeing it up close. We also got to see a hive and put our observation skills to the test as we tried to spot the queen bee! 👑🐝

We learned that there are many different kinds of bees and discovered something really cool—where bees collect pollen and nectar can actually change the flavor of the honey they make! 🍯🌻🌸

The kids asked some fantastic questions, and our beekeeper took the time to answer every single one. We learned how bees help our environment through pollination, ways to avoid getting stung, and why bees are such an important part of our world.
