Your First Fire

I do, like it was yesterday..good feeling

Getting the first real fire in the books is a good feeling. So much training, and so many years goes into it to get there

Listen all, we are not hoping a structure burns, it’s going to happen anyway sadly. Why we have jobs. We train everyday for it, and when we get can get out there and make a difference, we are ready for the call.
If you don’t celebrate it, it never happened!

This hydrant is not ok

Anyone see a problem here? Might be difficult to get water to the fire engine like that. Hey, mistakes happen on the fire ground, just the way it goes sometimes. Who ever did that will never ever do that again, I can promise

Pouring one out for the fireman who wrapped the hydrant and didn’t unwrap it 😛

This image warms my heart.. a fireman and his nozzle…🎭

Notice how the hose is outside of his legs, not in between. We do this for a reason. Our hoses get charged fast with so much pressure, they can whip upward and hurt you. We want to keep our balls and legs safe, so keep that hose outside your body always.
