Iโm proud to partner with ๐๐๐ฉ. ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐, ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐, and a strong group of community leaders for the ๐๐๐๐ค ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐๐๐ฐ๐๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ป๐ฌ๐จ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฌ๐น๐บ happening this Saturday, August 9th at McDonogh 35 High School.
Before stepping fully into business and policy, I spent years working in education; and Iโve seen firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and heart our educators bring to the classroom every single day. ๐๐โ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ฎ ๐ท๐ผ๐ฏ โฆ ๐ถ๐โ๐ ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด.
This work is deeply personal for me. ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ, ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐
๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ฌ, was an early childhood educator. ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ, ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, spent her entire career in education. ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐จ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ, ๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐, was a longtime educator. ๐๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ, ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ข ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ฌ, is currently a middle school teacher in New Orleans. And I come from a family filled with extended relatives and loved ones ๐ฐ๐ก๐จโ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ.
So when it comes to supporting educators - I donโt just show up, I show up with purpose!
