Tonight is the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, the revelation of the Torah at Mount Sinai. There's a tradition to stay up all night and study Torah to celebrate... and my crazy shuls can't get enough. (I can't either... if you haven't heard from me in a while there's a decent chance it's in part because I've been working on this!

So come join Congregation Bet Haverim, Ma'alot in Atlanta 18Doors and Ahavath Achim Synagogue, from wherever you are, for this year's Theme "Singing at Sinai."

It starts with a presentation by Tikkun Leil Shavuot Opening Program—Music in Common at 7 PM, then there will be physical and virtual rooms available for musical experiences and study all night long, with a break to bless the moon at midnight.

*YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN ATLANTA TO ATTEND MOST OF THE PROGRAMMING!* The zoom links are provided in the program linked below.

Show up in the morning at 5:30 for Sunrise morning service in the courtyard, 8:00 for yoga and Mindful Moments, and breakfast to follow.

*YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COME OR STAY THE NIGHT BEFORE TO COME IN THE MORNING* - The morning is a standalone special experience. We hope some of the Ahava Early Learning Center parents will join in the yoga at kid dropoff!

Got kids? Babysitting provided til 11 PM. After that, if your kids are old enough that you're ok with them sleeping over - mine will be there! They look forward to this every year.

Chodesh Tov NIsan will be taking place at Congregation Bet Haverim this month. We'll start around 1 ish. We will be sans kids this time (they are at their grandparents' in Virginia).

On Chodesh tov we explore the themes of the upcoming Jewish calendar month, which this month is Nisan. We'll be sharing some music from Eliana Light's upcoming album Ora Hi, including the title track, in anticipation of Pesach. We'll also share some from Rabbi Sam Blustin's forthcoming album. And maybe some other people's albums too! Lots of new music for the new month!
