π₯΅π§‘ If I were to try to guesstimate what the temperature is outside here in my hood today, I would say it is approximately 100 gazillion degrees Fahrenheit. π€ͺπ‘βοΈπ₯΅. Also, I wish I wouldβve remembered to wear my sunglasses. ππ€£π₯Έ But this grass sure does feel lovely! π±πͺ΄π₯

Everything happens because God is good! This is Alex and her pug puppy. Alex and her mom have 'Bailey' from Paisley's first litter of puppies. We've stayed in contact and I've been able to watch Bailey grow up! When I told them that Paisley was due to have another litter, they told me they wanted another puppy. They picked a brindle boy pup. Approximately two weeks before they were going to drive from West Virginia to pick up their new puppy, Alex's dad passed away unexpectedly. To my surprise they still wanted to make the drive to get their puppy! It turned out to be the best thing for them both. The runt of the litter caught Alex's eye and stole her heart. I knew she wasn't leaving my house without her. They left that day with two baby pugs. Since that day, Alex has been seeing a therapist to help her with the loss of her dad. Her dad used to call her "Peeps"... so it was only fitting for her to name her new baby 'Peeps'!
Alex's therapist has since made Peeps her emotional support dog. Peeps goes everywhere Alex goes.
When I get these pictures from Alex's mom, I am thankful! Nothing will bring Alex's dad back, nothing will take that pain away for her. But I'd like to think that Peeps is a constant reminder of her dads love and perhaps Peeps has helped fill that void in her young heart.
