The kickoff to the MUST Summer Lunch Program was a huge success! 🤩🎉

This summer, we're partnering with MUST Ministries to help provide nutritious meals for children across Cherokee County. Every meal served is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the life of a child, and every volunteer plays an important role in making it happen.

Join us in serving our community and helping ensure local children have access to healthy lunches throughout the summer.

Acts 9:10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered.

When Luke, who is the author of Acts, introduces Ananias, he does so with striking simplicity. We are not given a list of Ananias's accomplishments, nor are we provided with an impressive resume. We are simply told that Ananias is a disciple, likely living an ordinary life in Damascus. However, God uses Ananias and his seemingly average past in remarkable ways to impact the Kingdom and advance the mission of God. We live in a world that places enormous value on credentials, platforms, and influence. We are conditioned to believe that meaningful things happen through extraordinary people, the ones with the titles, the following, and the status, yet the story of Ananias pushes back against that assumption. God did not call a preacher or a leading evangelist. God called an ordinary yet faithful disciple. It can be easy to assume that God won’t call us until we feel more prepared, more gifted, or more qualified, but Ananias teaches us that God has always worked through willing, faithful, everyday disciples. God works, not through people who appear to have it all together with the most impressive resumes, but through willing people who simply show up and say yes.

Is there something God has been calling you toward but that you have been putting off because you feel unqualified?
