In 2026 we celebrate 100 YEARS of Negro History Week which was founded in 1926, later to be known as BLACK HISTORY MONTH in 1976 ✊🏿🤲🏿🌱 shoutout to the Honorable Dr. Carter G. Woodson, the father of Negro History Week and founder of ASALH, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History
In these dire times where there is a blatant attack on anything not normative and reflective of tha system of white supremacy, and against ALL THINGS BLACK, we as beautiful Black People MUST do the work to first preserve ourselves and then preserve our stories and history from erasure!! Our culture, our institutions, our history, our being is RICH and the one of the primary reasons why the world as we know it exists! Stay solid, stay Black, stay with God, and remember that God loves culture and made you the way you are ON PURPOSE and that’s worthy to be celebrated!
