I always said….”When Robert Duvall leaves this world and flys away to the great by and by, I’m going into mourning for many days”. Well, he made it in true Augustus McCrea style. 95 years old and passing peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by loved ones. What an icon. What a beautiful body of work he left behind. What passion. He loved to dance the tango. He loved Country Music, he took his work seriously, but not himself. He became each of his characters and they all touched our hearts deeply. He played a cowboy like a true natural (not an easy feat). I named my dog after his Lonesome Dove character…cause he’d probably cheat at cards for a poke (from his puppy admirers). Mr. Duvall, you will be missed immensely…and this cowgirls heart will forever have an empty place where you belong. It’s been a hell of a party! 💔
