The next morning, I ran a round trip total of 11 miles back to talk to some of the runners still running the Daytona 100 as they were nearing the end of their race. That’s a 100 mile race that starts in Jacksonville and finishes 9 miles from our house in Daytona. I’ve run that race twice and know how difficult it is! I briefly walked with a 73 year old man pushing a disabled adult in a running cart!
