I chose to work in the electrical industry because my father started me by his side wiring up projects as a little boy, I later followed my uncles, cousins, & in-laws into the trade. I went to and graduated from Chattahoochee Tech with the theoretical knowledge of how electricity works and the field knowledge of how to install & repair wiring safely. I have literally worked my way up from digging ditches to master electrician.

This is a first for us.
Customer wanted a raised platform for his generator to sit in rather than rebuilding his old pressure treated box/gravel bed for the generator.
I came up with this design and my brother Danny Purcell welded it up out of 2” steel angle iron. The gen literally sits inside the 2” lip edge, so it won’t vibrate out of the cradle.
We set the legs in ground, keeping 4” on the uphill side above ground and poured concrete to stabilize and keep level. The cradle as we call it was heavy as heck and held the Generac 22kw weight like no body’s business.
