People ask me why I love Iceland so much is it the nature or the people… No it’s the challenges and today was one of those days. Today did not go as planned one bit…and that’s ok. I woke up only to see every road near the route I wanted to take was closed. So I ended up taking a different route around the north coast. Constantly feeling like the winds were trying to push me off the road. And then I took a look again at the road map to see that I could get back to my orginal route……I see why the road was closed. I felt like I was driving through Siberia. If the snow and ice weren’t enough the gust of winds made things twice as difficult. But I made it I’m at my camp site in East Iceland. So no pretty waterfalls or epic drone shots just the challenge. And who knows what tomorrow will bring.
