Cherokee County EMA continues to monitor severe thunderstorms across Northwest Georgia as they move east. Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop to our west and some of these may be strong to severe as well. Damaging winds are the main threat, but an isolated tornado is possible.

Cherokee County is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11:00 PM.
