Tim Fleming is a friend, and more importantly, he’s the right person for this job. Georgia needs a Secretary of State who will protect our elections, serve with integrity, and put the people first. I’m proud to back him — and I hope you’ll join me. Early voting runs now through May 15. Election Day is May 19. Let’s go, Tim! 🇺🇸

Ever wonder how a bill actually becomes a law in Georgia? It doesn't start on the floor — it starts in committee.
Every bill filed in the Georgia House gets assigned to a committee. That committee holds hearings, takes testimony from stakeholders and experts, debates the details, and decides whether the bill moves forward at all. Most bills never make it out of committee — and that's by design. It's the filter that keeps bad policy from becoming law.
I serve on six committees this session:
🔵 Public Safety & Homeland Security — I chair this one. Bills like SB 468 strengthening the Sexual Offender Registry, SB 27 (the Georgia Anti-Doxing Act), and Rio's Law all came through our committee work.
🔵 Judiciary Non-Civil — Criminal law, sentencing, and the justice system. A natural complement to Public Safety.
🔵 Ways & Means — Where tax policy lives. I've been engaged on property tax reform, including LHOST legislation that would give Georgia homeowners real, lasting relief.
🔵 Banks & Banking — Financial regulation, consumer protection, and the health of our local banking institutions.
🔵 State Planning & Community Affairs — Land use, local government, and how our communities grow and plan for the future.
🔵 Technology and Infrastructure Innovation — Emerging tech, infrastructure, and keeping Georgia competitive in a fast-moving world.
This is the unglamorous part of the job — and it's also the most important part. I'm glad to be in the room.
