The United States added approximately 441,000 new millionaires in 2025, averaging more than 1,200 per day and accounting for nearly half of all newly minted millionaires worldwide, according to the UBS Global Wealth Report 2026. The surge brought the total U.S. millionaire population to a record 23.6 million, pushing the global count to 58 million.

Global personal wealth grew 10.8% in 2025, its fastest expansion since 2017, driven primarily by surging financial markets, which accounted for roughly 79% of U.S. household wealth increases, and record real estate values, with the median U.S. home price reaching an all-time high of $446,000. Much of the growth was attributed to everyday investors, including index fund holders and dual-income homeowners maximizing retirement accounts.
