Christmas Eve dinner at Stock Hill in KC with sweetie!

We’ve been too busy on the house restoration to post often. Today we are starting to prime. Things are moving along and we can’t wait to live where so much of our blood sweat and tears have gone over the past 13 month.

The nettles in Lawrence Kansas are the perfect right now for harvesting. I picked some this afternoon, blanched, and then sautéed them in butter with a little bit of garlic. Finished off the dish by adding the pesto to some freshly made polenta and topped it with some sautéed shrimp. It sure was tasty, and I have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow as well.
