I stole this from seeing jam with someone many years ago. Detune your high E string and you can get an instant ring mod effect when you fret stuff on the b and e strings together. You can flip back and forth from your regular vocabulary and grab a few twisted ideas here and there since you are only changing the tuning on one string. It’s pretty fun!
