This past Tuesday, we surprised not just one family but two families in Eatonton, GA. We welcomed Ms. I'Kerria and her daughter Journiee to the Homes for the Holiday family, Home #222, for the charity and Ms. Barbara and her kids, Kentrell and Kassidy, Home #223 for the charity.

Thank you to our sponsors and partners, John McColl, Ryan Jumonville, Aarons, and Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County, for helping us make this house a home.

Welcome home!

Today marks the 59th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a march held in Selma, Alabama, in 1965 for the 600 people attacked on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Last year, the 54th Mile Project kicked off with a visit to Selma. As members of the steering committee for the National Policing Institute, we walked across the bridge as a reminder to create safe and effective policing policies that build trust within communities.

The Red Mass was celebrated on October 12th at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for judges, clergy, and attorneys to celebrate the beginning of a new judicial year and to invoke God's blessings for peace and justice.

It was an honor to be presented with the St. Thomas of Assisi Award.

Congratulations to Senior Judge W. Louis Sans and Therese "Tee" Barnes as well for being recipients of awards this year.
