Have your compared your spring 2013 financial aid to your balance for spring 2013? Do you have enough to cover your spring 2013 balance?
The spring 2013 fee payment deadline is January 11, 2013.
The week of January 14-18 is the Drop/Add period. The final fee payment deadline is January 18, 2013.
If you did not accept all of your student loan, complete a Loan Change Form at the One Stop Shop to increase your loan. Com-plete it now, before the spring semester begins.
If you did not apply for fall 2012 financial aid and would like to be reviewed for spring 2013 financial aid, complete the 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
For newly admitted transfer students, in addition to the GSFAPPS and/or the 2012-2013 FAFSA, you must complete a Hope Scholarship Institutional Application (HSIA) to be reviewed for Hope eligibility.
Final transcripts from all of your previous schools must be received by the Admissions department before your HOPE eligibility can be determined.
If you have been approved to receive financial aid, check your PAWS account to view your financial aid award. Make sure your anticipated financial aid award covers all tuition and fee charges.
If you have been offered and accepted Federal Student Loans and you are a first time borrower at GSU, you are required to complete the loan entrance counseling and master promissory note at www.studentloans.gov.
Bookstore Credit: Your financial aid bookstore advancement will be available for purchasing books and supplies in early December. You will be notified via your GSU e-mail address once the bookstore advancement is available. YOUR BOOKSTORE ADVANCEMENT IS DEDUCTED FROM YOUR GRANTS AND LOANS. IT IS NOT A SEPARATE OR ADDITIONAL TYPE OF FINANCIAL AID.
Disbursements: The Office of Financial Aid will begin posting Spring Semester 2013 financial aid awards to students’ account on January 19, 2013.
Refunds: The Office of Student Accounts will begin processing Spring semester refunds the week of January 21st. If your financial aid award is greater than the total cost of your tuition and fees, you will be refunded the excess amount.

Your financial aid file should be completed no later than August 1, 2012 in order to be awarded in time for the fee payment deadline of August 17, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

Monitor your PAWS account to ensure completion of your financial aid file prior to the Fall 2012 fee payment deadline of August 17, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
Students selected for verification must submit all required verifica-tion documents. If an IRS transcript requirement is on your ac-count, you may use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to import tax return data directly into your FAFSA.
