Matt Elementary opened in 2001 with approximately 600 students. It was named after the original Matt Elementary, which was located on Bannister Road. The “Old Matt” school was named after the Matt community, which was named after Matison Martin. The original Matt school held 75 students in multiple grades. We had such a wonderful time continuing the long‑standing tradition of our 5th Grade and Senior Walk. It was truly special to welcome our former Mariners back into the halls and even more meaningful to see them reconnect with the teachers who helped shape their journey from the very beginning.
There’s something incredibly powerful about watching wide‑eyed 5th graders look up to graduating seniors—seeing both where they are now and where they’re headed next. In that moment, the full circle of education comes to life.
We wish both of our graduating classes the absolute best as they step into their next chapter. Once a Mariner, always a Mariner!

Celebrating ALL the Amazing Moms out there!
Our Kindergarten classes shared an early Mother’s Day celebration filled with love!
The students delighted everyone with a sweet performance, singing two special songs, and created handmade gifts to honor the incredible moms in their lives.
We are so proud of our Kindergarten students for such a lovely celebration and appreciate all the love and support our families show—today and every day. Thank you to our spectacular KK Team for putting this special day together!
