Do you struggle asking Jesus for the things you want in life? Many of us do. It’s not uncommon to feel hesitant, wondering if our desires are worthy of divine attention. Sometimes, we doubt whether our prayers are heard at all.
But consider this: Jesus invites us to come to Him with our needs and desires. In Matthew 7:7-8, He says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”
These words are a reminder that our prayers are not just hopeful whispers into the void. They are conversations with a loving, attentive Savior who cares deeply about our lives. Trusting that He hears us can transform our prayer life from a routine task into a vibrant dialogue of faith and reliance.
If you find yourself hesitating, start small. Share your heart with Jesus, even if it feels vulnerable. Believe that He is listening and cares about every detail of your life. Over time, you’ll find that asking Jesus for the things you want becomes a natural expression of your trust in Him.
