Oscar de La Renta was a true couture designer and a widely respected gentleman in the fashion industry

A while back, I had the honor of doing a small amount of conservation work on one of his beautiful couture pieces.

While the design was relatively new, the concentrated use of antique gold threads and french sequins in the embroidery gave this gown a rich vintage patina.

It was exquisite work and a privilege to be able to have a hand on it if even in a small way.

Thrilled to be recently swept up into the wonderful world that is for the whirlwind creation of a custom party dress for her wedding reception in Italy.

A silk dress hand embroidered with crystal beads, animal print detailing, and white ostrich feather drops. All of which, by some serendipitous miracle, continued the theme of her beautiful wedding gown!

I loved designing and creating for Heather. A gorgeous bride and fabulous woman!

Here’s the latest oil painting I did of an inlet in Gloucester, Massachusetts. It is a beautiful coastal town that has been popular with artists for many years. The original has been sold, but there are hand-finished giclée prints available at the link below!
