This is so sweet.
In honor of black history month Ubuntu celebrates the life and legacy of Taliyah Cassadine. Although she is known for being a fierce competitor on the pageantry scene, Taliyah is best known for being a staunch advocate for the transgender & gender nonconforming communities. Taliyah’s style of advocacy is known for being no nonsense and straight to the point. One of her most notable achievements is the founding of the ‘Say No 2 Silicone Injections’ campaign. With this campaign, Taliyah provides education, resources, and referrals to those who are considering silicone injections or those who have had heath complications because of them. Taliyah can be found amplifying her voice across many social media platforms(facebook-Taliyah Cassadine Instagram-) as well as conducting trainings & information sessions that teach about healthy transitioning, the dangers of silicone injections, and cultural humility for the trans community. If you’d like to help her in this endeavor, feel free to reach out to her via her website: https://www.sayno2siliconeinjections.org/
