Fourth Album Design

New client logo project to share! These are the logo/logo variations for Trenton Trading Company new furniture builder that will be opening up shop at the Painted Tree market place coming soon! Trenton Trading Co. redesigns and builds an array of furniture pieces but I personally was most excited about the incredible river tables they do. This was a challenging logo which forced me to explore a style I haven’t done before. In turned into a great project and learning experience. I’m still gettin the hang of it with the whole vintage vibe, but I think we got a great final result here.

THS FRIDAY my good friend and talented musician, , releases his solo album “Nowhere To Be” on all streaming platforms! This was mixed/mastered by at The Glow Studio in Athens.

This 7 song EP gives a dose of rock in a unique, raw form mixed with acoustic and folk elements. What’s awesome is Ben recorded every instrument himself. This is partly due to COVID preventing access to a full band or drums. Honestly, I envy Ben’s ability to play multiple instruments and understand how to record everything as well as he did.

I remember I was in 3rd grade when the Twin Towers were hit. I was in class and noticed my teacher had stopped talking as she sat at her desk and read a new email alert. Then I saw other faculty in the hall passing by my classroom frantically. I could hear them talking in disbelief about something that happened. The shaky tone of their voices gave me the impression they were concerned about something far worse then some fight in the lunchroom or problem kid in another class. Each word of their conversation rang with fear and disbelief. Then an administrator came into the classroom, told us to stop what we were doing and pay attention to the intercom announcement as he turned on a TV in the room. Our principal came on the intercom and informed us of what had happened. Our eyes fixated to the tv as the news came on showing a tall building on fire. As we watched the live footage report a second plane flew into the other tower. We all gasped with bewilderment as a plot we only thought possible in action movies became reality. Soon after we were all sent home for the day.

Never forget 9/11, the lives lost, and the first responders and heroes.

Excited to post some new album art for Undercover Funk - Midnight Climax! This is a very interesting album. Why? Well have you ever heard of Operation Midnight Climax? Probably not, but that’s okay. It was a covert CIA operation in the 1960s that was supposed to study the effects of L*D on people. In short, the CIA hired prostitutes to slip L*D into their clients’ drinks. They would then take them to a safe house motel to do their “business”. Unknown to the client/“john”, the CIA has officers sitting in an adjacent room observing their behavior via a two-way mirror that shared a wall between rooms. This is all public information now and confirmed. Pretty wild right?!

Lot of good music on the album. Undercover Funk takes a satirical look at the operation and marinates it with some powerful grooves, melodic solos, and refreshingly soulful vocals. Hope you guys dig it!
