We love our clients, and especially love when we get to help them grown their business. ‘s first location opened in the spring of 2020 if you can believe it. But they not only survived, they grew the company.
Now we’ve finished helping with their second location in Lenox. Their brand has evolved and we, alongside helped them grow into their new space with soft gentle curves and an extra calming material palette.
Even as their company grows up, the space still feels perfectly suited to little newborns.

Tom Kundig has been without a doubt one of my most influential architects. I got his first Houses book while in college and memorized the thing, drawing over the plans to understand how you moved through them and viscerally experience the space.
It was such an honor to meet him. A super kind and considerate guy, easy to talk to and with no ego.
Instead of taking the spotlight at the .arch symposium, Steve Rainville of was the project architect and described their great new project on the beltline in Old Fourth.
It’s exactly that kind of generosity, excitement about architecture, and love of working with others that is why it’s called arcus.

Throwback to our ArtsThrive project for the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund. During the pandemic, we helped them imagine a new mixed use space that could accommodate everything from a blackbox theater to a community garden to a rehearsal and maker space plus a whole lot more. The whole thing centered around a central courtyard with a green roof draped on top of the building. More pictures and info on the website.

Sun plots are fun and all, but sometimes you just need to know where to put the pool. This plan diagram shows all the cumulative daylight from spring to fall and takes into account nearby buildings and trees. It makes it easy to see what parts of the area get the best light. We put the pool directly in the path with the most direct sunlight. Be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen.

Even a generic building can be transformed into a great place to work.
Vote now for the AIA GA awards. Link in bio.
The Crux Retail project was a major renovation of an existing generic industrial building into a bright and inviting space for design and fabrication.
We added new windows and doors and removed the strange hat the building had been wearing for decades. The carefully placed windows bring a lot of light into the spaces and create a musical pattern on the facade. The warm wood and orange wall on the inside are visible through the glass and glow like a lantern.
