The Case Conference

You can love someone and still need them to perform. Chemistry gets someone in the door, but it's the work keeps them in the seat.
A principal protects the firm first. That means being slow to hire and quick to release. Affection cannot do the work that standards do.
The brand is not carried by who likes you. It is carried by who delivers.
This is the muscle we build inside Principal's Circle, leadership that protects the firm instead of personalities. If you are ready to lead your team by standard instead of by feeling, this is the room.
Comment PRINCIPAL and we'll send you the door.

If your team cannot function without you in the room, the issue is not the team. It is the structure around them.
Most designers hire help and then spend more time managing that help than they saved by hiring. The assistant who needs direction on every task. The coordinator who cannot move the timeline without approval. The junior who waits for you to review everything before it goes to the client.
That is not a team problem. That is a documentation problem.
Every role in your firm needs four things defined: responsibilities (what they own), authority (what decisions they can make without you), escalation triggers (when to bring it to you), and deliverables (what the output looks like and the standard it must meet).
When those four things are clear, your team stops waiting. They start operating. And you stop managing every detail and start leading the firm.
This works whether you have one contractor or five full-time employees. The structure scales. But only if you build it from the beginning. Define the roles now. The dependency ends when the clarity begins.
This is the work we do together inside the Principal's Circle, where designers stop being the bottleneck and start leading the firm.
Comment PRINCIPAL and I'll send you the link.
