June is Scoliosis Awareness Month

As some of you may know, my Pilates journey began due to my Scolisosis.
Thankfully I had an Orthopedic Surgeon who saw the benefits of Pilates before it was trendy, and encouraged me to use it to help stabilize my spine.

13, almost 14, years later and my curve hasn’t changed🎉

The dramatic impacts that Pilates has had on my life is what encouraged me to become a Pilates Instructor.
I wanted to be able to help people, with Pilates, in the way that it helped me.

It’s why I chose the Teacher Training Program that I did
It’s why I continue weekly, monthly, and yearly continuing education

So if someone walks through my door with Scoliosis, Osteoporosis, Spinal Fusions, Pregnancy, Knee/Hip Replacements, Hypermobility, etc.
I feel confident in either
A. My ability to help them or
B. Reaching out to those who can educate me

Pilates is accessible to EVERYONE
And its the perfect compliment to
-Walking
-Golfing
-Intense Athletic Training Programs
-Dance
-Simple Daily Life Tasks
-Etc.

I was nominated for Small Business of the Month for May🥹

And then lost out to my Husband😂

But also, a sweet client brought to my attention that, if you have paid me via Venmo, it asks you if you want to add a tip.
I have, I hope, turned this feature off for good.

Pilates is a luxury expense enough as it is.
And I have set my prices (for now and the future) to cover my expenses while trying to remain accessible to those who want to enjoy the benefits of movement.

Life is expensive enough.
So never feel obligated to tip me.

You being here allows me to live my passion.
And that’s enough😍

I have been blessed to become quite close with some of my clients.
I’ve had friends come and support my business and our friendships have deepened immensely because of our time together.
But there’s something special about a client who becomes a friend, a mentor, a support, a sounding board for ideas and dreams.

And time and time again, I am blown away by their kindness.
Their attention to special moments.
And their desire to celebrate them.

Received this sweet birthday gift from a client today and I just feel so grateful for this community that has been created here🥰

When your client tells you she’s headed to her grandson’s last day of school party and you jokingly say “bring me a cupcake”

And then an hour later she shows back up and hands you this

Had my youngest, and let’s be honest, cutest, client this week
She was an absolute pro and participated in every exercise

I think I’ve said this before, but it seems necessary to reiterate.

And I am so blessed to have found this community of beautiful movers who allow me to live my dream
Individuals who show up weekly, sometimes 3x a week, and entrust me with their movement experience

It truly is the most magical gift 🥰
