My work as a firefighter has deepened my appreciation for fire’s dual nature: its capacity for destruction and its power to inspire. This duality drives my art, transforming simple materials into vibrant, textured creations. While my art often stands alone, I frequently infuse it with acrylic paint, rhinestones, and textiles, blending tradition with modern touches. Pyrography is an Appalachian art form that requires patience and attention to detail. I honor this tradition while pushing boundaries, adding my own creative flair and embracing the unexpected.
