Did you that Absolutes are not technically “essential oils”? 🌿

Essential oils are technically only those that have been steam distilled or cold-pressed. Delicate flowers (like Jasmine and Rose) can’t handle the heat and pressure that comes from a traditional steam distillation process like other hardier plants can.

This is why many very floral, very delicate flowers are traditionally brought through an absolute extraction method to extract the full-spectrum beauty of their scent.

Absolutes make some of the finest perfumes and natural fragrances on the market, because it’s basically like getting as close to the true scent as possible 🌸

For example, a Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute is going to smell the most like picking the flowers and smelling them fresh versus any other extraction method.
