Good Neighbors Network
No student should have to worry about whether they have shoes that fit.
At Good Neighbors Network, we take individualized requests from our school partners because every student's needs are different.
When we learned one student needed a size 14 pair of shoes, we reached out to our community first. But after coming up empty, we knew we couldn't let that stop us.
So we went out and bought him not one, but two pairs.
Every act of kindness, big or small, helps remove barriers so students can simply show up, feel confident, and focus on learning.π

March 13, 2020. As schools closed and uncertainty set in, our founder, Yeulanda Degala, knew she had to do something.
What started as a simple act of kindnessβmaking sure students had food, snacks, and support during school closures, quickly became something much bigger.
6 years later, that same heart for helping has grown into a nonprofit impacting hundreds of students every year. π
Proof that when you see a need and choose to act, you never know how far it can go.

Everyone has the power to make a difference.
Board member Debbie Tranter shares what inspired her to get involved with us at Good Neighbors Network and why giving back has shown her that even small acts of kindness can create lasting change. π
We hope her story reminds you that making a difference is possible for all of us, one neighbor at a time.

Last week was pretty special.
We received our first BIG check β and we mean that both literally and physically! π
We are incredibly grateful to the members of 100 Women Who Care NW Suburbs for choosing Good Neighbors Network as the recipient of their collective generosity.
A special thank you to local realtor, community force, and fellow nonprofit founder Philpott for nominating Good Neighbors Network and believing in our mission. We are deeply grateful for your support, encouragement, and advocacy and are honored that you shared our story with this incredible group of women.
The check may have been oversized, but the impact will be even bigger.
π Thank you, 100 Women Who Care N.W. Suburban Chicago, for helping us continue to remove barriers and create opportunities for students throughout our community.
A dining table and chairs provide more than just a place to sitβthey create a space for connection, comfort, and togetherness. For one family, this will be where meals are shared, homework is completed, stories are told, and memories are made.
At Good Neighbors Network, we believe everyone deserves a space to gather and feel at home π
