Ever notice what pops into your head when someone says "snack"?
Chips. Cookies. Candy. Crackers. (Hows that for some snack alliteration)
Probably not Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, nuts, hard-boiled eggs, beef jerky, or apple slices with natural peanut butter.
That's not an accident. (more like a snackccident... see what I did there....)
For decades, marketing, advertising, and convenience have trained us to associate the word "snack" with highly processed foods. Somewhere along the way we stopped thinking of real food as a snack and started thinking of it as it's own category.
But a snack is just a smaller amount of food you eat between meals.

π« Or a crazy mascot yelling how good it is
π« It doesn't need health claims on the front to distract you from the crap listed on the back
This is something I work on with my members regularly. Shifting their mindset around things they may not realize were shaped in a way they didn't initially agree to.
If you're hungry between meals, grab food that actually fuels your body instead of something designed to keep you addicted and mindlessly eating more (cuz.... that's what they want..)
