365 laps, almost 900 miles, 4 drivers and a 1996 Saturn.
Finished up 7th overall, 3rd in class. Organizer’s choice award. Top 25 fastest lap. Unbelievable that this little Saturn drove the way it did.
Car was great(if a little sketchy), drivers were great(at least 3 of them anyways, I’m not a road racer lol).
let’s do it again, that was fun.

We’re about 99% of the way to being ready to go for next weekend. Decided to swap in this Rankin 4speed, which ended up taking a little more custom work than I had planned. So far I’ve custom made the shifter setback plate, the shift rods, the shift levers, and the bracket to hold the new transmission mount to the OEM crossmember. I also had to modify the front seal retainer to fit the bellhousing.

Luckily the off the shelf parts I’ve picked up for it have been perfect - had the bellhousing and slave cylinder setup in stock and ready to go, the shifter lever and k**b are awesome, and did a great job with the new shaft using the rear yoke.

When I get back this week I’ll be able to finish bolting the driveshaft up, reinstall the exhaust, and we’ll be ready for a shakedown and the drive to Florida! Can’t wait to see everyone at !

Stoked to see will be back on this layout in a couple weeks! These runs with were a ton of fun, even though I brought a knife to a gun fight when he was leading. Can’t wait to get driving again!

I’ll be there during working in the pits, though unfortunately the paddock is closed from the spectators this year.

Knocked out some setup changes on ’s this weekend and setup a full size layout to get some rest laps in. Gave him a few lead laps to practice chasing a (much) slower car, had a great time!
