Every doubt he made silent

I couldn’t carry the weight of my assignment

So he showed me how to surrender

What he had in store was going to be so much better

I thought I had to fight my way through life to survive it

Jesus already took on that world—He finished it, I don’t have to strive in it

He calmed my spirit and quieted the war within

Reminded me the victory was His before I stepped in

So now I walk, not anxious, not afraid

Because every battle I face—He’s already made a way

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
