I felt like a harpooned tuna fish sitting in packed ice…… yes it was that hot going through northern Texas. Our air conditioner in the front dash wasn’t working as we drove across the Midwest states and through Texas. And of course each state was having a heat advisory🥵. Even with the roof a/c unit on, the cab was still 107 degrees at some points. Luckily my wifey thought to pack me in ice packs front and back, and we bought several fans as well. Rough experience but it was all worth it when we got to the and plugged into electric and had a fine meal. One great thing that has come from this initial “shakedown” trip is Mayumi has been inspired to cook some amazing meals.😁 Getting away from the daily grind has been good, even though this has it’s own set of challenges and frustrations. In fact, I thought of a show I’ll tell you about in the next post from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

What drives your choices? Passion, inspiration, and just plain feeling good often drive mine. As an inspirational speaker, I often say to my audiences “Follow the Tingles”! Our favorite sport, Pickleball is one of those things that light us up and make us feel good. And is THE very best place that we’ve played so far on our tour across the USA🇺🇸! Thanks and poppa Brad Gawey, Chris and son Connor Cheney, and the Juli, for playing with us and giving us some great competitive games! That’s one of the things I love most about Pickleball; I’ve found that the people who play it are so welcoming and passionate about their love for the sport. Thanks also to Cassie, the restaurant manager and team for serving up some delicious food! We loved every second of our two days in Oklahoma City, and Chicken n Pickle is the biggest reason why we routed thru OKC. They rose to the occasion for sure. Can’t wait to come back and also to visit all the other locations , , , , !! Thanks again for bringing your incredible concept to life and for doing it at a world class level! If you’re gonna do something, you might as well be the best😎
