The Texas Panhandle Poison Center of Texas Tech UHSC's School of Pharmacy has conducted 31 unused medication take back events collecting nearly 18,000 pounds of as of April of 2014. Due to funding constraints, events are currently limited to twice per year in Abilene, Amarillo, and Lubbock.
