“In order to love someone else you have to love yourself first.” That's what Andrea’s mother told her when she was 8 years old. 30 years later Parson wonders…was she right? Drawing inspiration from the life of a medieval religious recluse, as well as her own modern dating journey, performer Andrea Parson skillfully weaves together physical theater, movement poetry, confession, and comedy in a deeply personal exploration of self love and spiritual longing. Part memoir, part spiritual fever dream, this playful and heartfelt solo work follows one woman’s journey toward an unexpected revelation — and the possibility that “The One” may not be who she expected.

Clue: On Stage took audience members into Boddy Manor House in 2023, where they could explore the house before the show began. A CLAP of thunder started the show, where people could observe the performance inches away from where they sat. Also, our special event of that year was our 1813 Regency Soiree, inspired by the Netflix series Bridgerton! We then had Misery, based on the novel by Stephen King, that was performed in an immersive fashion that placed the audience squarely inside the cabin of Annie Wilkes, merely inches from the performing actors. A Drunk Christmas Carol (Drunk Shakespeare Edition) closed out the year as our one-night-only event that sells out every year! Part scripted, part improvised, and all hilarious! A Drunk Christmas Carol left the audience in holiday stitches, both literally and ugly sweater figuratively!
