May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, there is a FREE Virtual Adult Mental Health First Aid training on May 30th!
Mental health first aid for adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
You will learn:
• Common mental health concerns among adults
• How to reduce stigma
• How to recognize signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use problems in adults
• Skills to use a 5-step action plan to help an adult who may be facing a mental health, problem or crisis, such as su***de
For this training you MUST live, work, or worship in Collin County. If you do not and are still interested I can help connect you to one in your county.
