"To the Grave" Chapter 1:

There was a fierce storm raging tonight, all was silent throughout this old manor, but I felt myself calm and collected. I am Frederick, keeper of this hauntingly beautiful manor. I found myself in a situation that I regretted but it fell upon me through no fault of my own.

I found myself pacing back and forth in my study, trying to make sense of my situation. After a few moments of brainstorming, I finally realized that I had to do what I most dreaded, the very thought, sent a chill down my spine.

Nevertheless, I was already prepared just in case this situation left me with no other option than this one. I had the perfect way to handle it.I ran a hand through my slick black hair and proceeded out of my study and into the hallway, visions of dread and nervousness began to dance in my mind as I walked through the dark hallway.I abruptly stopped in my tracks as I came across our bedroom door. I felt my pulse and heart racing as that moment arrived. I slowly made my way towards the door and slowly turned the k**b.

As I entered the room, I saw her, lying there in bed, peacefully sleeping. It felt like an evil spirit had suddenly washed over me as I approached her bedside.

I cautiously grabbed a pillow and placed it over her face. I viciously began to apply pressure as she awoke from the disturbance and began struggling. As I continued to force her end, a sudden tear slowly slipped as images of precious moments raged within my mind.

She had been my only true love, I had pampered her and treated her very well. I couldn’t imagine life without her but unfortunately, rumors began to circulate of her affairs that I couldn’t afford to ignore anymore. I couldn’t afford to be laughed at while being an important member of society. Inside, my soul was broken, and the pain was immeasurable.

As her struggles began to calm and her breathing began to slow, I knew her time was almost up, and that painful realization hit hard. After a few more minutes, all signs of life in her came to a halt as I slowly let go of the pillow and backed away. I stood in silence as I stared at what I had done. I slowly walked back to her lifeless, warm body and removed the pillow from her face.

An overwhelming wave of emotion ran through me as I slowly kissed my wife’s lips and held her hand.

"Twisted Dreams"

As that midnight hour slowly passes;
A nightmare behind closed doors emerges.
Deep within the mysteries of the mind;
Twisted dreams of another world slowly appear.

As the sweat falls across a pounding heart;
Dancing swarms of decayed beings quickly approaches.
Through tunnels of hanging nooses and human remains;
A terrified soul rapidly sprints through twisted dreams.

As the chanting hordes of wickedness emanates;
The shrieks of pain are ominously heard.
Through the many twisted dreams of torture;
A horrified soul starts to weep with fear.

As the light of a new day breaks through;
A nightmare behind closed doors fades away.
As a pounding heart quickly awakens;
The many twisted dreams hauntingly subside.
