Last Sunday, we looked at Palm Sunday in Matthew 21:1–11…
a moment filled with celebration, expectation, and misunderstanding.

The crowds were ready for a king who would defeat their enemies.
But Jesus came in a way no one expected.
⠀
Not on a warhorse… but on a donkey.
⠀
And that moment leads somewhere.
⠀
➡️ To the cross on Good Friday
➡️ And ultimately, to the empty tomb on Easter Sunday

What a beautiful day yesterday as we gathered for brunch as a church family. It ended with a beautiful time of worship and reflection led by our worship leader, Alexis, and Nia Akins, who will represent the United States in the women’s 800m race in Paris.
