that, had he been an adult, would have killed him. But Liam is a tough little guy - a survivor! Liam's heart compensated for the blockage after the heart attack and created it's own pathways to supply blood to the part of the heart that had no flow. A miracle of all miracles! As of now, we are hopeful that Liam will never need a heart transplant and we dream of no surgeries at all. For now we rejoice in the fact that, although there are other risks and potential problems to face, Liam is alive and smiling after a life event that should have killed him. His parents stayed with him in Colorado and lived out of a suitcase and survived due to the generosity of others who they are eternally grateful for.
