đź©· As we begin a journey on a new platform, we reflect on images created of the magical dogs who were part of our program so long ago.

Behind the scenes of creating this particular silly composite in the early 2000s, the dogs themselves were clearly less than thrilled about the process. The lighting felt too bright, the camera too intrusive, and their expressions gave away just how unimpressed they were with being asked to “pose.” In retrospect, we regret asking so much of them.

But that was part of their charm; these were Weimaraners, after all. Individuals of a breed who perpetually wears their heart on their sleeve, the authenticity of each dog sparkled, even when they didn’t love the spotlight.

Regardless of their lack of enthusiasm for the camera, we believe that they knew they were receiving love and affection, and that was what truly mattered. In those little moments, a quiet brilliance shone through the spirits of the dogs who shaped Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue.

Each animal was cherished beyond measure, incredible in their resilience, and unforgettable in their impact.
From left to right are: Jitterbug, Frida, Frenchie, Jubilee, Tommy, Bambi, Allegra, Amelia, Tallulah, Duke, and Nico. Time has passed, and unfortunately most of them have since crossed the rainbow bridge, but their memory lives on in every heart they touched.

One precious soul is still with us today, Allegra, who came to rescue as a puppy. Allegra has for all these years been the heartbeat of her family in Sedona, Arizona. We continue to celebrate her, for she is a living reminder of the legacy all those who came before her have left behind.

This image, despite the less-than-enthusiastic expressions it bears, is more than a composite, it’s a tribute, a way to remember, honor, and remain forever inspired by the dogs who helped define Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue’s mission and spirit.

Joie de vivre, as we continue to learn from the dogs; and thanks for being here. đź”® 09/28/2025

Albeit that we are far behind with updates and stories of the many incredible dogs in our care, we have officially begun posting on our Instagram page.

Please join us, starting with some unique insight into the history of our program: https://www.instagram.com/p/DPH47KKEkvx/?igsh=OTQzMWNkOWlxdzJ2
