Adding ab work into my training has been a game changer for my throwing… but not just any ab work. HEAVY AF ab work! Here is one of my favorites, the suitcase hold. 3x15 second hold on each side at 225lbs here
I was first introduced to these by and have done them once or twice per week ever since. If you want your abs and obliques to be strong AF, give these a shot! Stand up as straight, brace your trunk as hard as you possibly can, and don’t let the weight pull you out of position.
Start with 3 sets of 30 seconds each side for a few weeks, then taper the time down as you jack the weight up. When you get to the point where grip is the limiting factor, strap up so you can still work the target muscles
