Much of NOTA’s repertoire features original music, written collaboratively and developed through improvisation in rehearsal and on stage. Every performance evolves in real time, giving each show its own signature energy and flow. NOTA Band isn’t just a name — it’s a philosophy. “Not A” Band in the conventional sense, but a collective committed to connection, creativity, and the joy of live performance. Drawing influence from Col. Bruce Hampton, Frank Zappa, Traffic, Little Feat, Dr. John, Jerry Garcia, The Meters, Van Morrison, Eric Lindell, and many others, NOTA channels the spirit of musical exploration while forging a sound uniquely theirs.
