My grandmother Marion is in her 90s and has been knitting for a long time. She recently taught me to knit, so you will find mittens made by both of us in our Etsy shop at www.marionsmittens.com
Our mittens are all knitted by hand on small size 2 or 3 double pointed needles. A child's pair takes at least half a day to knit, while an adult pair can take more than 8 hours. This detailed work results

Our mittens come in a rainbow of colors - 54, actually! Hand knitted using a 70+ year old pattern. The ones in this photo have a metallic thread woven throughout; others are simply solid. Our shop is stocked with sizes for kids and adults. Custom orders available by request.
