what it means to stay silent as an artist.

For weeks, it felt like the moment was slipping,
shaming my absence,
outrage absorbed by work,
urgency dulled by the wheel of capitalism.
But a few days ago, 100,000 people reminded me
WE ARE A FORCE.
Streets flooded. Voices aligned.
Momentum became tangible again.
Their collective courage ignited a flame,
and I’m grateful to have witnessed it.

ICE is acting less calculated and more reckless.
It’s a system that freezes safety, weaponizes fear,
and treats humanity as expendable.
What once felt immovable is made to melt.
A regime only as powerful as our omission.

We need more art that reflects the moment and unites people. Show up in whatever way you can.
Art was never meant to be polite.
It was meant to be honest.
Not violence. Solidarity.
Not chaos. Pressure.
