While we all love working outside in our gardens, the next few days will be bringing us some crazy sunshine and heat! If you're going outside to check on your more delicate plants, remember to wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and save heavy activity for early mornings and evenings after sundown. That's how we, and our plants, can stay happy, healthy, and strong in this heatwave!

🔥 EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH 🔥

📅 In effect: 12PM Sunday — 8PM Tuesday

🌡️ Why: Forecast shows dangerous heat + humidity → heat index near or above 100 °F, potentially exceeding 105 °F during the day.

✅ Stay ahead:
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day
• Avoid outdoor activities during peak heat
• Stay in air‑conditioned spaces (or visit a cooling center if needed)
• Check in on vulnerable neighbors, kiddos, and pets

⚠️ Why this matters:
Prolonged heat can cause heat cramps, exhaustion, or even stroke. Nighttime temps will remain high, limiting relief and increasing risk
